RESPIRATOR MEDICAL CLEARANCE
OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134) requires that employees be medically cleared and fit tested before wearing a respirator. A physician or other licensed health care professional must review the employees’ medical history before respirator usage/eligibility be determined. EI’s staff of safety and health professionals provide a full complement of respiratory surveillance services to help you comply with the standard and protect your employees.

IN NEED OF A RESPIRATOR MEDICAL CLEARANCE?
Although this is not a hot take, we were reminded during a recent RCRA workshop that National Compliance Initiatives (NCI) established for 2020-2023 will remain on the EPA’s (and State’s) priority lists for 2021. Given a change in the administration, the priority may be heightened.
