RESPIRATOR MEDICAL CLEARANCE
OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134) requires that employees be medically cleared and fit tested before wearing a respirator. A physician or other licensed health care professional must review the employees’ medical history before respirator usage/eligibility be determined. EI’s staff of safety and health professionals provide a full complement of respiratory surveillance services to help you comply with the standard and protect your employees.

IN NEED OF A RESPIRATOR MEDICAL CLEARANCE?
During 2020, the most effective method of screening employees who were potential carriers of SARS-CoV2 was the administration of a CDC recommended questionnaire, coupled with a temperature scan from a non-contact thermometer. The COVID questionnaire was utilized to identify those workers who were experiencing COVID symptoms or those employees who had potential contact with individuals who were COVID carriers.
