IMMEDIATE NEED: NURSE PRACTITIONER
The EI Group, Inc. (EI) is a progressive full-service consulting firm that provides clients assistance in the area of occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene and environmental consultation/training services to Fortune 500 industrial clients. EI is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with industrial experience and expertise within the occupational health field.
Background Requirements
Experience and knowledge in the management of an occupational health program for a high tech industrial client who maintains an on-site employee health clinic for a manufacturing operation employing approximately 750 salaried and non-exempt employees. Specific duties include treating minor work related injuries and maintaining associated OSHA accident record keeping; compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection and Hearing Conservation Programs; performing ergonomic assessments; managing/tracking worker compensation and back to work programs; occupational health training of employees; performing medical screening for new hires and management/promotion of a comprehensive and robust employee wellness program. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the management staff and work closely with The EI Group regarding occupational health program planning and will develop key performance indicators to monitor program metrics and measure overall success of the program. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Education and Experience
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and an unencumbered Nurse Practitioner licensure. Candidate must possess a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of North Carolina and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in occupational health nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience in other similar settings. Certification as Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN/S) is a plus. Current certifications in CPR; Pulmonary Function testing; and Audiometric testing are recommended. If new or recertification is needed EI will provide these at no cost to the new hire. Working knowledge of computerized program management tools such as Microsoft Office and Excel is necessary to perform the duties in this position.
